The Manager, Cybersecurity Operations reporting to the Director, Cybersecurity Operations, will lead a team of in-house and contracted security professionals to enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, standardize controls, and automate tasks. You will oversee the implementation, optimization, and automation of security processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including Cloud Security, End Point Security, Email Security, Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Application Security, Incident Response and Vulnerability Management.

  • Govern and enhance processes/procedures with a focus on risk-based access controls and role-based access modeling.

  • Oversee provisioning and de-provisioning of users, including creation of user IDs, management of identity groups, granting/removing access, coordinating Identity Access Management (IAM) audits and recertification of system access.

  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of IT security professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

  • Act as the primary contact for escalated security operations issues.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the cybersecurity team.

  • Assist the GRC team in ensuring compliance cybersecurity regulations and standards.

  • Define KPI’s and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of security operations.

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline operations and increase team capacity.

  • Enforce company policies and procedures.

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, runbooks, and best practices to optimize team performance and enhance security posture.

  • Ensure implementation and validation of required cybersecurity controls, including continuous monitoring.

  • Identify and centralize additional processes cybersecurity operations team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or equivalent work experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Information Security field, including at least 2 years in a management role.

  • At least 5 years of working knowledge of Active Directory, including Organizational Units (OU), groups and user attributes.

  • Experience implementing and supporting IAM technologies in a large, complex environment, with direct experience in IAM provisioning, de-provisioning, and re-certification processes.

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Identity and Access Management Tools, including PAM technologies.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze information/data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to facilitate crucial conversations and influence stakeholders.

  • Effective interpersonal and group communication skills, including negotiation, influence, strong presentation, motivational, change management and teaching skills.

  • Strong consultation skills and experience coaching and mentoring.

  • Prior experience in information security and governance oversight/methodology.

  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management lifecycle, concepts, and technologies.

As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York State. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For New York State, the range of starting annual base pay for this role is $127K - $160K.
